- Managing a Team of 5 Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountants within a Shared Service Environment for the European operation.
- Leading the accounting department, supervising end-of-period processes (including year-end audit) and supports the analysis of the periodic business performance, budgets, and forecasts.
- Taking ownership of the Annual Audit Process. Collaborating with external partners such as auditors, group tax and tax accounting firm personnel in all matters regarding auditing, taxation, and transfer pricing documentation.
- Implementing audit findings with a view to improving the business’s overall financial performance.
- Providing insightful financial analysis to commercial business leaders to drive sound financial decisions in order to increase profitability
- Mentoring accounting personnel, supporting their continuous professional growth and enabling their future succession planning and being responsible for building talent within the team.
- Maintaining accounting policies and improving control systems and processes in line with US public company standards (Sarbanes-Oxley), statutory reporting, liaison with external and internal auditors and cost accounting.
- Budgeting and management reporting
- Accountancy qualification ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven track record within a similar role
- Experience of managing a finance function across several European entities.
- Able to effectively and efficiently plan, organize, coordinate, and direct all finance and accounting activities related to a good mid-sized business
- Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to manage and professionally develop part-qualified/qualified staff
- Other European languages would be a plus.
