Our client is a global supplier of engine and component parts for heavy-duty and agricultural machinery. They are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Coordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing claims administration processes, analysing large claims, and providing high-quality advice for queries across both UK and USA operations. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure efficient request processing and the accurate issuing of debit notes and purchase orders.

 Key Responsibilities

  •  Manage the claims administration process, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Review, validate documentation, and maintain comprehensive records
  • Analyse large customer issues using engineering techniques and engine knowledge
  • Prepare detailed reports for suppliers and customers, summarising findings and causes of part failures
  • Manage quality issues referred from the USA, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve claims-related issues and facilitate effective communication
  • Raise debit notes and purchase orders in accordance with established procedures, confirming details with suppliers

 Key Skills

  • The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of engine theory and basic engineering principles. Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with a keen eye for detail.
  • The role also requires the confidence to write reports for both suppliers and customers, including those where English may not be their first language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, and experience with basic engineering measurement tools is advantageous.
  • Problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and develop on the job are also critical for success in this role.

 Benefits

  • Our client is paying a salary up to £34k
  • Hours are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
  • 22 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Private Healthcare after 6 months service
