Job Summary

We are recruiting for our client who are a family-run high- end furniture supplier seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Coordinator to manage our inbound and outbound deliveries. In this pivotal role, you will liaise with the warehouse team, clients and carriers to ensure orders are received, prepared and distributed efficiently. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will be key to facilitating seamless logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate inbound container shipments from China and Road transport from Europe.
  • Manage and coordinate outbound deliveries to mainly UK & Ireland but also International destinations.
  • Liaise with the warehouse to ensure all orders are received and ready for distribution.
  • Maintain communication with clients, carriers and customers to facilitate smooth processes.
  • Use Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, for tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Monitor and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
  • Availability to work 4 Saturdays a year .

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role is preferred.
  • A knowledge of Microsoft Navision ERP would be useful but not essential as training will be given
