Position Title: Point of Sale Designer
Location: Chesham
Salary: Up to 32k DOE
Job Role
The Point-of-Sale Designer will work under the direction of the POS Design Manager to ensure that all designs meet the expectations and needs of the customer. This is a busy fast paced, very busy role that requires attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Taking responsibilities for specific named clients, providing a service from design conception to completion
* Working closely across other teams to ensure design brief is completed accurately and timely
* Contributing and leading on ideas and designs as part of a team using 3D Cad software and 2D design software.
* Taking approved visuals/concepts and producing 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
* Ensuring projects are designed to budget whilst actively looking for and promoting cost-saving opportunities during the design development
* Creating project documentations that adheres to company defined processes - detailed parts drawings, general assembly drawing, dxf and artwork for printing.
* Ensuring retail/POS designs are fit for purpose, adhering to any client requirements or health & safety needs.
* Conduct sample testing as directed
* Ensure design briefs /projects remain on schedule
* Deal with queries and potential problems/issues sensitively and assertively
* Amend designs after feedback
* Adhere with all company policies and performance goals of self
Minimum knowledge and skills:
* Experience in a similar large format / POS design role is essential
* Competent user of SolidWorks
* Good degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach
* Strong computer literacy including three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD
* Strong written English, numeracy and organisational skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Self-motivated and able to demonstrate good use of initiative
* Excellent team player who is able to role model the positive behaviours required of all staff
