As a preferred supplier to many local and Trusts, Fox Morris Group is excited to offer a Children’s Community Nurse position in London (Chessington).

Are you a passionate and proactive nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Community Nurse to join our Community Nursing Team. This role offers the chance to work autonomously across the borough, delivering holistic, child- and family-centered care for children and young people aged 2–19 years with SEND, PMLD, and complex health needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical nursing care to ensure high-quality and effective patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed care plans to support the safe and effective delivery of care.
  • Provide specialist nursing care, including but not limited to gastrostomy management, wound care, and suctioning.
  • Deliver specialist training to families and school support staff to ensure safe and confident care provision.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and attend multi-professional meetings, including child protection case conferences.
  • Offer emotional and practical support to families, including signposting to specialist services and completing referrals for additional care.
  • Provide health advice for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support children's education and well-being.

Minimum Requirements for the Role:

  • A registered children’s nurse (RNC) with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Experience in community nursing or working with children with complex health needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A compassionate, proactive, and child-centered approach to nursing.
