- Job Title: Static Multi Skilled Engineer

- Salary: £38,500 per annum (inclusive of oncall but no OT)*
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, rotational shifts between 06:00 - 18:00)
?The RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team at Birtley. This is a multi-skilled role, requiring someone who can turn their hand to all trades and carry out a variety of maintenance tasks across the site. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical or Mechanical Qualification and previous experience working in large distribution centres.?Key Responsibilities:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) - Conducting regular inspections and servicing of depot assets to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
- Reactive Maintenance & Repairs - Responding to breakdowns and faults, diagnosing issues, and completing both first-fix and permanent repairs to a high standard.
- Electrical & Mechanical Work - Maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- General Facilities Maintenance - Carrying out minor plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance where required.
- Working at Height & in Confined Spaces - Completing repairs and inspections in hard-to-reach areas using the appropriate safety equipment.
- Lone & Team Working - Operating independently and as part of a team to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
- On-Call Duties- Covering emergency breakdowns ensuring the site remains operational outside of standard hours.
- Health & Safety Compliance - Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures.
?Requirements:
- Must have a relevant Electrical or Mechanical Qualification (NVQ Level 3 in Mech or Elec)
- 18th Edition
- Testing and inspection
- Previous experience working in large distribution centres
- Physically fit due to the varied and demanding nature of the role.
- A hands-on, multi-skilled professional who can adapt to all types of maintenance work.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
