Civil Engineer

Currently recruiting for Civil Engineers to join our UK design team. As a Senior Engineer you will deliver the civil design content of industry projects as part of a multi-disciplinary design team. Duties will typically include leading projects / packages of work, supervising less experienced or junior staff, site visits, report writing, producing drawings and design calculations and supporting health and safety.

Day to Day

  • Create and review design concepts, calculations, design specifications, drawing details, and other technical documents.
  • Supervise junior design team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Support the professional growth of project team members.
  • Assist in preparing and overseeing project budgets, including planning, monitoring, and reporting on resources and finances.
  • Prepare and review feasibility studies, appraisal reports, and other written documentation.
  • Adhere to the company's Integrated Management System requirements, including Health & Safety, Environmental standards, and all relevant regulations.
  • About You

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A relevant degree and ideally be pursuing additional professional qualifications. However, those with equivalent experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • A solid technical background in design.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and a good understanding of AutoCAD, to produce and to read drawings.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, producing clear and concise reports.
  • A proven track record of working well in a team environment, demonstrating a commitment to meeting project deadlines.
  • A client-focused approach to service delivery, with self-motivation and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • A strong emphasis on health and safety practices in all aspects of your work.

Salary is dependant on experience, hybrid working arrangements.
