MATERIAL HANDLER - BIRTLEY

Pay: 13.52-27.04 per hour

Shifts: Day shift/2 shift rotation

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler.

MUST HAVE AN IN-DATE ACCREDITED COUNTERBALANCE LICENCE

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are handled safely and efficiently.

This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
  • Operate forklifts (Counterbalance - B1 & B2) and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Prepare materials for storage or shipment as required.
  • Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in material handling processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles is highly desirable.
  • Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is preferred - Counterbalance Licences.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
