Job Summary:
This role involves the wiring of electrical assemblies for use in the Electricity Transmission sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently wiring assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring & Assembly:
- Wire assemblies according to schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and general arrangements.
- Fit all components as per BOMs, equipment lists, and engineering drawings.
- Prepare, crimp, terminate, and loom wires and cables to the required standards.
- Ensure all wiring meets customer specifications.
- Quality Control:
- Identify and communicate drawing discrepancies to supervision.
- Recognize and report instances of bad practice to supervision.
- Follow test documentation and perform basic testing and fault finding procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Accurately record time bookings for each task.
- Health & Safety:
- Operate in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring the safety of oneself and colleagues.
- Immediately report any safety concerns or issues to supervision.
- General:
- Meet demanding deadlines consistently.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Experience:- Apprenticeship in Panel Wiring or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical engineering drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.).
- Strong practical skills in wire preparation, crimping, termination, and loom wiring.
- Ability to identify and communicate drawing discrepancies.
- Ability to recognize and report instances of bad practice.
- Experience following test documentation and basic testing procedures.
- Demonstrable ability to meet demanding deadlines.

Desirable Skills:- Experience working with Tri Rated cables (0.5mm to 6mm).
Shift Pattern:- Days: 37 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
