Urban Empire Recruitment has partner with an established Accountancy Practice, they've been going for over ten years. They have a fantastic reputation in the local area with the clients and staff.

You’ll be on a structured and well tested graduate scheme where you’ll get ACA certified.

You’d be assisting partners of the practice by working on owner managed businesses preparing accounts, corporation tax calculations, audit work and gaining some experience of personal tax.

Duties

  • Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide support in financial reporting and analysis to aid decision-making processes.
  • Mentor junior staff members in accounting practices and software usage as needed.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in financial regulations.

Experience

  • 2:1 at minimum in a numerate degree
  • Strong A-LEVEL's
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills within the financial services sector.
