Group Reporting Accountant | Chester | £55,000 - £65,000

Resourcery Group are partnered with one of the fastest growing businesses in Cheshire who are looking to bolster their UK head office with an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant.

With regular exposure to the CFO and other senior stakeholders, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties include;

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other regulatory requirements
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support effective decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the auditing process
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Review and analyse financial statements to identify variances and provide explanations
  • Prepare supporting schedules and disclosures for financial statements
  • Participate in the development and improvement of financial reporting processes
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and support them with financial information

Candidate profile;

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified – ideally Audit trained
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
