Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
- Managing the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts including P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflow, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to key stakeholders.
- Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff.
- Analysing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
- Analysing market trends and competitors.
- Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Working with the wider finance team to guide and implement efficiencies & encourage self-sufficient team.
- Assist in the annual statutory reporting and year end audit process as required by the HOF.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Highly proficient Excel user (pivot & look up tables, modelling financial data etc)
- Excellent strategic planning and financial analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of business financials and reporting processes.
- Extremely organised, able to meet deadlines and manage workload.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Professional accreditation in Accounting & Finance.
