Management Accountant

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000

LOCATION: Deeside, North Wales (Hybrid)

I am working with an Investment Management Company who manages £1bn of funds on behalf of c.2,500 clients. The Group now employs 65 staff across our 3 offices, including financial advisers, adviser support teams, compliance, finance, operations, and development.

They are now looking to recruit an additional head into the finance function, and they want to speak to people who are looking to make a step up from an Assistant Accountant, someone who is already working as a Management Accountant, or a first-time mover from practice.

Position summary This role will be a key support role to the Finance Director. A hands-on and varied role, providing support as follows:

• Assistance with management accounts production
• Preparation of accounts payable, from posting up to invoice approval
• Bank reconciliations
• Accruals prepayments, all month-end journal adjustments
• Monitoring and reporting on business costs
• Weekly supplier payment runs
• Payroll - assisting in the monthly preparation of 3 payrolls, preparing pension submissions
• Monitoring and diarising key financial calendar dates, dealing with annual filings
• Quarterly vat return
• Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
• Staff benefits - monitoring and updating
• Assistance with migrating to new accounting software/change of processes

Requirements

• Good work experience with minimum AAT qualification
• Flexible approach to a varied role
• Professional mature manner
