Management Accountant | £40,000-45,000 | Chester
A well established, successful business with a £30m turnover, is recruiting for a part qualified/finalist level Management Accountant to join their accounting team.
In this role you will be responsible for all month end financial reporting and analysis, providing insightful data to support with key decision making and play a key role in liaising with the wider business.
Day to day, your role will consist of:
- Producing monthly management accounts and analysis of financial information
- Assisting with the budget preparation and monthly forecasting
- Carrying out investigation to variances and providing commentaries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing all payroll costs
- VAT returns
- Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
- Supporting with year end audits
- Developing financial controls and processes
For this role, you must have the following:
- Part qualified/finalist level CIMA/ACCA
- Solid experience in management accounts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across the wider business
- Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to working in a fast paced environment
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus to want to add value to improving the business function
