Senior Accountant

Job description:

LHH is recruiting for a successful top 100 firm in Chester, which is seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic and expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for more responsibilities within their role.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the initial draft of financial statements for more complex assignments, addressing and resolving client queries before submitting the file for review.
  • Capable of mentoring junior team members and reviewing their work.
  • Prepare client management accounts along with relevant commentary, ensuring that client needs and deadlines are met to provide effective advisory support.
  • Prepare tax computations and return forms for all types of entities. Submit approved financial statements and statutory tax returns in alignment with the entity's requirements.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of accountancy software.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated & a team player.
  • Solid technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent attention to detail.
