They deliver for their existing and new clients wherever they are in the UK and provide quality tax advice that meets the family and commercial needs of people, ensuring they are placed in the best position.They are currently looking to recruit an Specialist Tax Advisor.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Specialist Tax Advisor your key responsibilities include:-Researching, analysing and interpreting changing tax legislation in both the UK and overseas-Meeting with clients and collating information-Working with tax law and revenue provisions-Liaising and negotiating with HMRC on behalf of the client-Creating tax strategies for clients and planning their financial futures-Carrying out detailed computations to calculate tax liability and advising on how to minimise a client’s liability-Establishing and structuring family trusts-Estate planning and advising on tax residence and domicile matters-Drafting of wills and Power of attorney documentation-Providing guidance on indirect taxation issues such as VAT, custom planning and environmental taxes-Producing reports and presentations for clientsWhat to Expect/Benefits-Work is both in a team environment and working solely-Local travel within a working day is normal for client visits-Absence from home at night is occasionally needed-Working hours are 7.5 per day (37.5 hours a week excluding lunch)-The firm is based in Chester-24 days holiday per annum plus special terms for the Christmas period-Opportunities for professional development and advancement within the companyQualifications-CTA qualified preferred, but not essentialPerson SpecificationTo be considered for this role you will have knowledge in the following areas:-Corporate Tax-International and Inheritance Tax-National Insurance-Personal Tax-Trust and Estates-VATAs Specialist Tax Advisor you will have the following key attributes:-Excellent numeracy skills-A logical and analytical mind-The ability to interpret and explain complex legislation to non-specialists-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-Negotiation skills-Planning and organisation Skills-Problem-solving skills-Time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines-Attention to detail-A flexible approach to work-Tact and discretion, as most of their work is confidential-Commercial awareness-A methodical approach to record keeping-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExcited to find out more, then please get in touch !!!This vacancy is being handled by Laura Banks – Kenton Black FinanceIf you have the above skills and attributes with previous practice experience in a similar position, and would like to find out more then please APPLY TODAYKenton Black Finance operate across the UK as a market leading recruitment partner, specialising in the attraction of finance talent across both permanent and interim requirements.
