We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile Banking clients. They are currently looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Operations Business Analyst to join their Exchange Traded Derivatives team for an initial 12-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension.

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong operational experience in a global markets' environment.

The successful candidate will be part of a global team responsible for trade clearing and position management across 35 Clearing Houses and 83 Exchanges, serving a broad range of clients. The role involves working closely with regional teams in Chicago and Singapore, as well as Global Business Service teams based in Hyderabad and Gurgaon.

Key Role Specifics & Daily Tasks:

  • Provide support for clearing and trade processing activities within the Exchange Traded Derivatives team.
  • Address and resolve exceptions raised by internal stakeholders promptly.
  • Process transactions on EMEA exchanges using vendor middleware tools and Exchange interfaces.
  • Manage exception handling, static data maintenance, and oversee trade lifecycle events, including position transfers and open interest management.
  • Facilitate the physical delivery of Fixed Income, Equity, and Commodity products.
  • Assist in the execution of ongoing upgrades and testing related to Exchange, Regulatory, or strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the generation and analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory reporting teams to analyse and resolve issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in an operational role within a Global Markets business.
  • Knowledge of Futures and Options is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and manage relationships with peers and senior management.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement solutions for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with the FIS suite of products (e.g., GMI, FIS Trade Clear) is beneficial.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to regulatory and industry changes, including EMIR, Client Assets, and MiFID.

Location:

For the first 3 months you will be required to work from the clients Chester office 5 days a week. This will later become relaxed once you are fully onboard with the role.

Working hours:

Shift pattern between 07:00 - 19:00 (required to work the third Friday of the month 16:00 - 00:00 or Saturday of the month 08:00 until workload is completed)
