- Problem Solving: Interpret test results, identify trends, and flag any anomalies or issues that may require further investigation.
- Tidy and Methodical Approach: Maintain an organised, systematic approach to sample analysis and reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and results are delivered efficiently.
- Collaborative Work: Work closely with senior chemists and other team members to ensure all analyses meet quality and safety standards.
Your background:
- A degree in Chemistry (or equivalent level / closely related qualification for example BTEC, A-levels coupled with understanding of analytical chemistry).
- Hands-on knowledge of HPLC, GC, and Karl Fischer methods.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage high sample volumes in an efficient and structured way.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
This is an entry level role calling for an immediate start so we are seeking someone who is currently based in or around the Chester area, ideally you will have recently graduated with a chemistry degree, and are ready to put your theoretical knowledge into practice. It will be helpful if you can drive due to client location however they have provision for cycle to work and public transport links.
