An established SME Construction Contractor based in Chester, specializing in refurbishment and extension projects for industrial units and manufacturing facilities across the Northwest and Midlands regions are looking to recruit a contracts manager. Our blue-chip client base trusts us with their capital expenditure spend, and we take pride in delivering projects ranging from £100,000 to £3.5 million directly to our valued clients. Quality, safety, and client satisfaction are at the core of our operations, and we are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a vital role in managing a diverse portfolio of construction & refurbishment projects ranging from £100,000 to £3.5 million. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Client Management: Working directly with existing clients to understand their requirements and ensure projects are aligned with their expectations and objectives.

Estimating and Tenders: Preparing accurate cost estimates, tender documentation, and proposals for prospective projects.

Project Programming: Developing and managing project schedules to ensure efficient project execution and timely delivery.

Preliminaries Management: Efficiently allocating resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project productivity and profitability.

Client-Facing Role: Being the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.

Health & Safety: Implementing and enforcing rigorous health and safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and subcontractors.

Quality Assurance: Overseeing quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and adherence to industry regulations.

Requirements:

Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Contracts Manager, specifically working on construction projects ranging from £100,000 to £3.5 million for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
