Role title: Property Regulations SpecialistLocation: Hybrid - Head Office based, office working 1-2 days per week Starting at £32,000pa

Objectives of the role• To manage and implement company statutory testing obligations and planned preventative maintenance programs all in line with the guidance and support of the Senior Cost & Contract Manager. • To manage the interface with Ostara, the loading and audit of certification in the Property Management System. • To instruct and manage contractors in the delivery of company compliance programmes within defined KPI’s. • To pro-actively manage and resolve any notices or communication with local authorities and or statutory consultees in regard to statutory matters • To manage communication of statutory certification etc to clients, internal departments and other third parties. • Actively supporting the issue of compliance certification for "Safe-Start" compliance on contract changes providing confirmation for all agreement changes where required in a timely manner. • To audit Compliance Contractors use of Ostara, service delivery and SLA’s. • To provide Compliance Contractor reviews and manage their performance on site and in their office location. • To actively highlight and review changes in statutory compliance legislation providing impact guidance to company consultees. • Undertake cost validation audits on required testing remedials.

Key Responsibilities• Reporting on the statutory compliance database within Ostara as required. • Specialist contractor monitoring and review in relation to agreed KPI’s & SLA’s • Resolving all queries and notices from local authorities (Fire, EHO planning etc) • Auditing and authorising quotations from compliance contractors. • Working alongside, developing and coaching the Compliance Administrator and supporting them in their role. • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and statutory developments. • Assisting in budget calculations and liaising with finance function to monitor commitments. • Liaising with contractors, local authority officials and licensees. • Liaising with other departments within the company to manage processes and updates. • Instructing statutory testing programmes and supporting and implementing any changes in estate profile. • Reporting to property manager and directors on compliance status and program progress. • Providing support and understanding of service charge agreements. • Approve invoices and check certification in relation to statutory testing programmes. • Regular meetings with contractors and suppliers to review progress and KPI’s issuing minutes to record the outcome of meetings. • Ensuring the distribution of statutory documentation and quotations as required. • Work within the guidelines and maintain GDPR requirements at all times.

Skills and Experience• Property Compliance experience - programming, management, legislation and delivery • Excel skills essential • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified or working towards • Accuracy and attention to detail • Organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Effective minute writing skills • Knowledge of statutory legislation etc an advantage • Flexibility to cover other department tasks or assist as required • Excellent customer service • Good team player • Able to manage difficult conversations

Working Arrangements: This is a Hybrid role. The requirement is to attend Head office 1 - 2 days in the office, with remote working from home and field.
