Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a global leader in uranium enrichment and nuclear fuel supply to recruit an Environmental Advisor on a Contract basis for its Capenhurst site.
The Environmental Advisor role comes with a rate 40 per hour inside IR35.
Key skills
- Provide guidance to ensure consistent compliance with Environmental Permits, preventing any non-compliance issues that may arise.
- Define and implement management system arrangements to comply with environmental legislation while incorporating best practice solutions where feasible.
- Offer expertise on contaminated land monitoring and managing in-ground contaminants.
- Deliver timely, practical, and relevant environmental advice to the business, including projects, covering compliance with environmental regulations, site permits, pollution prevention, and emissions management.
- Provide technical guidance on applying best practices and conducting Best Available Techniques (BAT) reviews to support permitting and waste disposal.
- Conduct audits and 'Duty of Care' inspections to verify compliance with company policies and environmental legislation, ensuring they are completed as scheduled.
- Prepare technical reports, such as applications for Environmental Permit variations, ensuring all necessary support and documentation for permit modifications.
