Key Responsibilities:
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain effective relationships across the business to ensure regular collaboration and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Communicate Financial Insights: Understand the information needs of stakeholders and translate financial and commercial data into actionable insights that are effectively communicated throughout the business.
  • Drive Informed Decision-Making: Educate the business on key financial and commercial metrics to empower informed decision-making at all levels.
  • Performance Analysis & Feedback: Critically assess business performance and provide actionable feedback and solutions to drive improvements across the organisation.
  • Support Data Strategy: Work closely with the data community to ensure that the business's data strategy aligns with its broader strategic goals.
  • Monitor Business Performance: Help stakeholders understand key business metrics and trends, providing them with the necessary tools to assess performance effectively.
  • Financial Accountability: Partner with the finance team to support and challenge budget holders, ensuring financial accountability and driving efficiency across all departments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable financial insight and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Cash Flow Management: Proactively monitor and forecast cash flow, working with stakeholders to enhance the company's financial position.
  • Ad Hoc Financial Projections: Provide financial projections for various projects and investments, offering detailed analysis and clear recommendations.
  • Maintain Rolling Forecasts: Develop and manage rolling forecasts, ensuring profitability reviews and variance analyses are conducted regularly.
  • Business Reporting: Oversee the creation and distribution of business reports, focusing on financial performance, sales, marketing, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Maintain the accuracy of financial data and ensure all reports are up-to-date and reliable.
  • Budget & Performance Visibility: Provide clear visibility into business performance against budgets and prior periods, offering strategic insights to key stakeholders.
  • Third-Party Information: Assist with preparing financial information required by external parties, including regulators and investors.
  • Performance Insights: Analyse key business performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and drive positive changes.
