Carbon60 are currently looking for a Stores Operative to join a client of ours based on the Airbus site in Chester. This position is a 12 week temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Working Hours/Shift Pattern: Can do 8:30am - 4:30pm OR 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, 30 mins break/day, 37.5 hours/week

Pay/Salary: £11.44/hour, will rise with national minimum wage increase in April 2025, overtime available 1.5 x Monday - Saturday, 2x Sunday

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Adherence at all times to strict standards of H&S during all working hours - induction and daily H&S meeting provided on procedures and policies in place. Must be treated with the up most importance and priority.
  • Liaising with customers on-site
  • Receipting goods-in and booking goods-out
  • Stock checking
  • Delivering stock around site, to local suppliers and completing collections as required using company vehicle
  • Operating to 5s standards across the stores
  • Maintaining 5s standards across satellite stores on-site
  • Driving around site to different depts, off-site collections and delivery to suppliers in company vehicle - driver's check required on offer

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Active UK clean driving license required
  • Stores/Warehouse experience beneficial but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate a good work ethic and follow instructions and H&S guidance promptly
  • Excellent communication skills for customer facing responsibilities
  • Basic level of IT Literacy skills for data entry and professional email correspondence
