Are you a recent graduate looking to kick-start your career in engineering? DATS Engineering Recruitment is currently seeking ambitious Mechanical Engineers for a prestigious Graduate Development Programme. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience, structured training, and support towards Chartered Engineer status.

Please note you will need to be currently studying towards your degree in order to be considered for this opportunity.

The Role

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in a two-year structured training programme designed to build your expertise in engineering functions and processes. Reporting directly to the Engineering Section Manager, youll be mentored by industry professionals and have access to state-of-the-art tools to develop your skills in areas such as fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and process modelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and work with various departments, including Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Plant Operations.
  • Apply fundamental engineering knowledge to the design and analysis of complex systems using advanced modelling tools.
  • Manage work packages, including design and analysis deliverables.
  • Provide professional design and operational support for customer needs.
  • Assist with site installation, testing, and commissioning.

What Youll Need

  • MEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering. ( or equivalent ) and expecting a 1st or 2:1
  • A strong desire to pursue Chartered Engineer status.
  • Keen interest in design, fluid dynamics, and process modelling
  • Great team-working, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for learning opportunities.
  • Experience with Matlab, Simulink, or other process modelling software is an advantage.
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office essential; knowledge of programming for process modelling is a bonus.
