We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Gas Maintenance Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in work within the education sector. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing gas forges, hearths, and gas safety devices in Design Technology and Science Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of gas equipment and prevent breakdowns.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and troubleshoot gas-related issues, ensuring swift and efficient repairs in line with company standards.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as a representative of our company, maintaining a professional appearance and building strong relationships with onsite clients.
  • Travel & Flexibility: The role involves working across the UK, often requiring travel from Monday to Thursday with potential extended working hours.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Commercial Gas Safe Certification: Must hold qualifications such as COCNPILS, ICPNILS, TPCPI, and TPCPIA.
  • DBS Clearance: Ability to attain a clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
  • Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Independence & Teamwork: Capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team, especially under pressure and to tight deadlines.
