This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' learning and development during this crucial stage of their education. The Role:As a Year 2 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons that inspire and engage pupils. You will be instrumental in helping pupils develop their core skills in preparation for their future learning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Prepare pupils for their end-of-year assessments, including SATs.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and academic achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 (KS1), preferably Year 2.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring and nurturing young learners.
