Job Description:

We are seeking a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join the Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) team in Cheshire. This role involves providing highly specialist psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to children and young people (0-18) with complex mental health needs. The post holder will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver evidence-based care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychological assessments and formulate intervention plans.
  • Provide a range of therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Offer consultation, advice, and support to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in risk assessments and care planning.
  • Supervise and support junior staff and trainees as required.
Essential Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited).
  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience in CAMHS or working with children and young people.
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, intervention, and MDT collaboration.
