Our client is an established player in the FMCG sector, with a workforce of over 1000 dedicated employees. They have a strong presence in Chester, providing high-quality products to a broad consumer base. This is a pivotal role in their accounts receivable department working with high value customer accounts offering analysis on EDI invoice investigations and issues, always working to improve processes.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Sales Ledger Analyst will:

  • Accurate recording of sales data and financial transactions.
  • Work to resolve electronic invoice issues on customer accounts
  • Reconciliation of ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting with end of month closing processes.
  • Supporting the credit control function in managing receivables.
  • Collaborating with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Monitoring customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Preparing monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial information and adherence to financial regulations.

Profile

A successful Sales Ledger Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Experience working with EDI invoices and large customer accounts
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG - Desirable
  • Experience working with customers under agreed and variable invoice formats and payment terms
  • Knowledge of accounting software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
