Equal Education Partners is excited to announce an opening for a Parent Support Associate at one of our partner clients. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and providing individualized support to students' parents in a variety of educational settings.

As a Parent Support Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring that parents understand and effectively engage with our client's educational provision, thereby supporting the best outcomes for students and easing the challenges faced by our partners (customers). This role is pivotal in building a service that encourages trust, engagement, and understanding between parents, students, and our educational partners. Embedded within a dynamic team and working under the strategic guidance of the assistant head of teaching and learning responsible for inclusion and SEND, the PSA is tasked with operationalising a vision where parents are well-informed and supported in navigating their child's education both academically and personally. They will contribute significantly to developing and maintaining a framework that promotes parental understanding, facilitates open communication, and encourages positive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement frameworks that support parental understanding and engagement in their child's education
  • Collaborate with the assistant head of teaching and learning to ensure the parental support program aligns with educational goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support programs to ensure they meet parent needs and organisational objectives
  • Facilitate informational sessions for parents to discuss their concerns and understand their child's progress
  • Organise and lead progress meetings to provide parents with personalised feedback and guidance
  • Engage actively with parents to build trust and foster a sense of community within our client's online platform

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience working with students, parents, or in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Awareness of issues and concerns that parents face in supporting their child's education
  • Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions to support parent understanding and student progression
  • Ability to analyse data related to parent feedback and engagement, using insights to inform strategies for improvement
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field, are a plus.
  • Experience of using Teams as a communication and collaboration tool (or a willingness to learn quickly!)

Benefits

Our client provides a friendly, stimulating environment in which their team is encouraged to grow and thrive. They work collaboratively, get stuck in, and value everyone's input. They operate a hybrid working model where staff work from the Chester office 5 days a month, 1 day when all together. However, they will not insist on this pattern for the right candidate who does not live close by.

The package:

  • £21,472 - £26,003pa
  • 35 hours per week (08.30 - 16.30)
  • 33 days annual leave, inc 8 bank holidays
  • Flexible, hybrid working
  • Laptop, CPD, EAP, Pension & Private Health Care
  • An amazing team!
