We require passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) . This role is ideal for someone experienced in working with students who may present challenging behaviour and require additional support in both academic and social settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and group support to students with additional needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, while fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and behaviour support plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other support staff to create a consistent and structured learning experience
  • Encourage student independence, social development, and self-confidence through innovative and engaging approaches
  • Adapt quickly to changing classroom situations and proactively manage emerging issues

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive in supporting the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in an educational setting or special education
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or behaviour management
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (support can be provided in obtaining this)
