I am representing a client in the manufacturing industry who is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join their team. This senior commercial role is integral to driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding revenue streams.
About the RoleAs the Business Development Manager, you will:
- Focus on key product revenue streams, including lighting, sign structures, and accessories across sectors such as Roads & Infrastructure, Rail, Health, Ports, and Architectural.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
- Build strong relationships with clients, analyse their needs, and deliver tailored proposals.
- Create sales forecasts, actively work toward achieving targets, and stay informed of market trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovation and contribute to R&D and commercial initiatives.
- Represent the business at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record of driving sales growth.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of business development and sales strategies.
- A commercially focused mindset, enthusiasm, and ethical professionalism.
- Competitive salary up to £60,000 (depending on experience).
- Remote role with occasional travel to Chesterfield.
- Performance related pay-scheme after probation.
