Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new challenge in education?Long Term Futures is currently seeking a dedicated AP Teaching Assistant to support one of our client AP schools in Chesterfield.

As a Teaching Assistant in this Alternative Provision, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of students facing various challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of students, adapting teaching methods to suit their individual needs and fostering engagement through creative and innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the teacher to deliver alternative, stimulating approaches for students with SEN needs, including ASD and ADHD.
  • Set targets for students and monitor their progress closely.
  • Ensure that every student has the opportunity to access learning and reach their full potential.
  • Support students in resolving any issues they encounter, providing appropriate solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has prior experience working with SEN students.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
  • Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrates a caring and compassionate attitude.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
