Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new challenge in education?Long Term Futures is currently seeking a dedicated AP Teaching Assistant to support one of our client AP schools in Chesterfield.

As a Teaching Assistant in this Alternative Provision, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of students facing various challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of students, adapting teaching methods to suit their individual needs and fostering engagement through creative and innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside the teacher to deliver alternative, stimulating approaches for students with SEN needs, including ASD and ADHD.
Set targets for students and monitor their progress closely.
Ensure that every student has the opportunity to access learning and reach their full potential.
Support students in resolving any issues they encounter, providing appropriate solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

Has prior experience working with SEN students.
Can build strong, positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Demonstrates a caring and compassionate attitude.
Holds a full UK driving licence.
