The client are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Accounts Manager (Healthcare) in their Chesterfield office. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality client service, developing teams, and specialising in the healthcare sector. You will lead a portfolio of healthcare clients, support business development activities, and contribute to strategic projects within the firm.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a main point of contact for a portfolio of healthcare clients, including GP practices, limited companies, PCNs, and individual tax clients
- Review and finalise partnership, sole trader, and limited company accounts for client delivery
- Review and finalise tax computations, capital allowance claims, personal expenses claims, and personal tax returns
- Provide clear and accurate advice while resolving technical issues for clients and colleagues
- Review NHS pension annual certificates of pensionable profits and related estimates
- Supervise and mentor staff at different levels to ensure high standards of accuracy and client care
- Prepare detailed job budgets, monitor against actuals, and provide feedback to the team
- Manage workload and team schedules to meet deadlines and maintain service quality
- Contribute to strategic projects at department and firm-wide level
- Stay up to date with business and industry trends, contributing to business development activities such as newsletters, blogs, and webinars
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients and introduce them to other services within the firm

- ACA/ACCA qualified with at least three years of post-qualification experience
- Healthcare sector experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
- Strong IT skills, with experience using Xero and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
