Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of personal and trust tax clients, including those with complex or contentious tax issues
  • Reviewing tax returns and compliance work completed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Delivering proactive, efficient, and cost-effective tax advice, tailored to individual client needs
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff, supporting their development and technical growth
  • Researching and drafting private client and employment tax advisory reports
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to ensure exceptional client service
  • Assisting the Senior Management and Partner team in refining processes and improving overall efficiency
  • Identifying opportunities for tax planning and additional advisory work

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience
  • At least four years’ post-qualification experience in personal tax
  • Strong technical knowledge in personal and trust tax compliance and advisory services
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with a client-first approach
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercially minded with an ability to identify and capitalise on tax planning opportunities
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and leading junior team members
  • Exposure to tax advisory work (desirable but not essential)
  • Some experience with other tax areas is beneficial but not required
