Job title: Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Clay Cross
Environment: Manufacturing
Salary: 35,000-40,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Fridays 9am to 4:30pm. 37.5hrs
Structure: Reporting to the UK Health and Safety Manager and working with x2 other Health and Safety advisors
Overview
Working for a well-established manufacturing business with sites across the globe, we are now looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the business.
The role will be focused on ensuring the production facility and it's staff work in a safe manner, maintaining a high standard in this heavy engineering and manufacturing industry environment.
The ideal candidate / Health and Safety Advisor may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
Previous experience working in a heavy engineering industry/manufacturing environment
Experience working in a COMAH site
Nebosh General certificate
Strong communication skills
Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor role:
Review of HSE incident entries with the engineering and operational teams and agree appropriate actions to reduce the likelihood of a repeat event.
Maintaining excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety Law
Communication, of changes in above legislation or HSE guidance and maintaining the company's Health and Safety legal compliance register
Assist in accident investigation and reporting including RIDDOR including visits to the works out of hours where applicable;
Organise internal and external health and safety inspections and audits.
Commutable from: Clay Cross, Matlock, Chesterfield, Buxton and surrounding areas.
