Do you have experience working with and supporting primary aged children within alternative provisions? Are you a strongly motivated, resilient and caring Teaching Assistant? Long-term Futures is presenting an exciting opportunity with a Chesterfield (S43) based alternative provision academy.

In this role, you will primarily support and re-engage young people, enabling them to think positively about their future pathways and life after the academy. This can be re-integration into mainstream, further education or employment.

Due to the location of this role, it would be advantageous to have access to your own vehicle to reliably commute.

What will my role involve?

  • Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff. Classes are small, approx. 10 pupils per group.
  • Supporting and re-engaging young people who are at risk of, or who have been excluded from mainstream education.
  • Enable pupils to re-integrate into mainstream, further education or employment.
