  • We are seeking a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive for our Residential Litigation Department in Birmingham.
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in relevant areas such as Debt Recovery and Lease Extensions.
  • Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and be familiar with the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987.
  • The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £60,000, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
  • We are looking for a proactive and organized individual with excellent communication skills who can work both independently and collaboratively.

We are looking for a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive to join our Residential Litigation Department. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 year's experience in most, if not all the below areas of work that we engage in.

Areas of work to cover:

  • Debt Recovery - small claims/fast-track/Multi-track
  • Breach of Lease - County Court Action/FTT Action
  • Forfeiture and Possession Proceedings
  • Lease Extensions & Variations
  • FTT Applications
  • Lease Analysis
  • Enforcement of Judgements
  • Providing advice to clients re major works consultations/ s20b notices/ lease variations/ lease structure/ notice of repairs
  • Ability to support our Pre-Litigation team with any queries.
  • Attendance at Industry events/conferences for BD purposes, along with client meetings as required

Ideal Candidate: -

  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in the areas of work covered above (Strictly Long Leasehold)
  • A working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, a familiarity with leases and enforcement of judgements
  • Proactive, self-motivated, organised and reliable
  • A strong academic background
  • Excellent but concise communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Strong organisation and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
  • Possess attention to detail
  • A friendly and personable approach with colleagues and clients and an ability to deal with matters sensitively and explain complex issues to clients.
  • Ability to work either alone or collaboratively with other team members, and to use initiative and demonstrate sound judgement
  • Strong IT and document management skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Must be familiar with the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987 (Long Leasehold)

Salary - £35,000 - £60,000

Days - Monday - Friday

Hours 09:00 - 17:00

Location - Birmingham - City Centre
