Logistics People are looking for Team Leader/Line Leaders/Team Supervisor/Line Supervisor/Team Manager to join our team.

Location: Markham Vale, Great Bear 

Working Hours:

  • 4 On 4 Off Days 06:00 – 18:00 Shifts Available 

Pay rate: £12.44 P/hr

Position: Team Leader

Logistics People are currently recruiting Team Leaders to join our team in Markham Vale, based at our Great Bear site.

Main Responsibilities as a Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Assist Shift Manager in the management of teams in order to motivate teams, ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, all Company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to and that all product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in line with or exceeding KPI’s.
  • Manage and motivate the shift team in order to ensure that productivity and service KPIs are achieved or exceeded
  • Manage Goods Inwards area and Loading bays to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders
  • Develop and train all team members so that their contributions to the warehouse can be maximised and succession plan
  • Carry out disciplinary/ grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure
  • Support the Shift  Manager in any ad hoc duties within the Warehouse function
  • Over see the cross docking process
  • Ensure that the work place is clean and tidy at all times
  • Carry out daily shift briefs to their teams and ensure that their teams are kept up to date with all relevant information to enable them to carry out their work.
  • Ensure that all areas of the warehouse comply with the companies Health, Safety and Welfare policies.
  • Monitor and control the work environment to ensure that it is operating to its optimum efficiency.
  • Ensure that the shifts performance is in line with the work load and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure that the available resources are utilised to there full potential at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous operational experience within a warehouse environment
  • Experience in managing a large team
  • Good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation within a FMCG environment is desirable
  • Good health and safety knowledge
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Computer Literte in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to work a part of a team and individually
  • Conscientious and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Be proactive and able to make decisions
