We are currently recruiting for experienced individuals to work alongside one of our long-standing and nationally recognised clients, Royal Mail.Your role as a Cost Controller within the Fleet department will include being responsible for a range of Technical and Cost Controlling decisions. You will work as part of a team that consists of Technical Controllers, Service Advisors and Administrators and will work across a range of processes that will entail delivering daily, weekly and monthly targets.Main Duties:
  • Scrutinise, challenge and authorise the costs of up to 150 daily jobs
  • Manage estimate/authorisation Workflow via portals, emails and phone calls
  • Interface with up to 100 Maintenance Suppliers and their respective billing structures
  • Quality checking of compliance documentation
  • Investigation of Warranty violations
  • Report on billing accuracy of suppliers within Maintenance network
Successful Candidates:
  • Excellent IT skills – preferably with experience in a range of software packages including Excel, Work and PowerPoint
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant Automotive Engineering and/or Maintenance field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Workshop and/or Fleet environment
Although it is not essential, experience of authorising work in a fleet environment, liaising with suppliers and external suppliers and quality checking HGV compliance documentation is advantageous.Working Hours, Pay Rate and Other Information:Your working week will be Monday to Friday, between the hours of 6am – 5pm, with a mix of shifts available.The hourly rate for this role is £18.50 and the role is being offered on a temporary ongoing basis.If this is something you’d be interested in, please apply today with your CV or alternatively drop me an email
