Job Summary

Ranson Barnes Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with this globally renowned engineering / manufacturing organisation agian, who are now in search of aProductionSupervisor.

You will oversee site operations to ensure all orders are produced accurately and delivered on time. As a Site Supervisor, you will lead teams across the warehouse and factory, fostering engagement and continuous improvement through your leadership abilities.

Health and Safety, quality, Environmental and staff management are key areas of responsibility within this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a designated key holder, overseeing day-to-day security and site supervision, including coverage for other departments as needed.
  • Manage production scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) targets and compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Oversee stock accuracy, cycle counts, Kanban adherence, and 5S principles, updating relevant dashboards and ensuring accurate JDE transactions.
  • Conduct safety audits, implement corrective actions, and input maintenance and die repair requests into the database.
  • Lead absence management, return-to-work interviews, holiday entitlement approvals, and overtime control.
  • Develop and maintain training matrices, operating instructions, and staff training plans; conduct appraisals in line with company timelines.
  • Ensure effective value stream management, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Perform basic operator maintenance and manage adherence to operating processes.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Hold or obtain a Power Press safety certificate (training course can be provided)and FLT license as applicable.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills across all levels.
  • Proficient in JDE or similar systems, with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Capable of working under pressure, both independently and within a team, with strong computer skills.
