The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis, working on projects across Chesterfield and the surrounding region. You will play a vital role in the commercial success of our projects by providing accurate cost and value reporting, procurement management, and commercial support from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
  • Undertake valuations and agree interim payments with clients
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage procurement processes
  • Prepare final accounts and ensure timely project close-out
  • Support the site teams and project managers with cost-related guidance
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in a QS role, ideally within the civil engineering, infrastructure or structural maintenance sectors
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract administration
  • Excellent numerical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software
  • Full UK driving licence (essential, due to site travel)
