Are you an experienced Product Compliance Manager considering a career move? I am excited to representing this business, they are a highly established manufacturing firm with a global turnover of £210m who are providing their products to the global construction market. One of their leading UK sites, based in Chesterfield has a newly created opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join the business. Summary of role

The Compliance Manager will be accountable for ensuring companies' products remain fully compliant with all relevant regulations and standards for the markets they operate in and all product information is clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date and unambiguous. In doing so this supports their commitment to only offer products that work, advice that can be trusted and promises they keep.

Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager:

  • Develop a technical understanding of their products, their application, and the markets they are sold into.
  • Monitor changes to all applicable regulations and standards through membership and contribution within relevant associations and committees.
  • Interpret regulations and standards to distil complex information into clear requirements relevant to the business and its products.
  • Identify and recommend actions to maintain compliance or meet new requirements.
  • Escalate and communicate information to others in a timely manner and in easily understandable form, both internally and externally, including the preparation and delivery of reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Coordinate all technical compliance activities (e.g. testing, certification, audits, corrective actions etc.) identified by you and others, with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. management, technical, operations, sales, suppliers, third party testing and certification laboratories etc.), ensuring they meet agreed cost, quality and time objectives.
  • Own and enhance systems, processes, policies and procedures that ensure all product information is always clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date and unambiguous.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for compliance related enquiries

Requirements of the Compliance Manager

  • Proven background in product compliance within the construction product sector
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations and Construction Product Regulations are essential.
  • Experienced in Product standards, Testing and Certification is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Analytical mind.
  • Diligent and thorough, with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Self-starting with ability to use own initiative as well as working collaboratively across multiple business functions.
