We are working with a secondary alternative provision that supports students requiring a more personalised approach to education. The academy focuses on re-engaging students in learning, creating resilience, and preparing them for successful futures. They are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team and make a real difference in students' lives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to inclusive education and has the skills to engage students who may face barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
* Differentiate lesson materials to meet individual student needs and abilities.
* Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages student progress.
* Implement behaviour management strategies in line with academy policies.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum planning and student outcomes.
* Provide feedback and assess student progress, identifying areas for development.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in science.
* Experience teaching Science at secondary level, with the ability to teach Biology at KS4.
* A passion for supporting students with additional educational needs.
* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A flexible and resilient approach to teaching in an alternative provision setting.
