About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Chesterfield. This full-time role involves supporting secondary-aged students within a specialist SEN setting, working with a diverse range of needs, including Autism, nonverbal communication, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with varying SEN needs.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
Support students both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist with behaviour management strategies and interventions.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Provide personal care support where necessary.
Requirements:
A relevant SEN qualification.
UK-based experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a secondary school setting.
Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, nonverbal communication strategies, and behaviour management.
Ability to remain patient, calm, and adaptable in a challenging environment.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).
Commitment to full-time hours.
