Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Specialist Setting (North Chesterfield)Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young learners?

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in North Chesterfield. The school caters to primary-aged pupils (KS1 & KS2) who are not currently in mainstream education due to a range of needs, including emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.

Role Details:

  • Location: North Chesterfield

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Driving Licence & Own Car Required

  • Contract: Permanent (initially pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment)

  • Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs and SEND, helping them engage with learning and build confidence.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement personalised learning plans.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation through patience and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a TA in primary schools.

  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs and SEND.

  • A resilient, compassionate, and patient approach.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners in overcoming challenges.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for this role).
