Reed HR have partnered with an organisation based in West Sussex who are seeking and experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.Â
Day-to-day of the role:

Work closely with all parties to resolve both informal and formal employee relations matters such as absence management, disciplinary, capability/performance, and grievance cases. This involves building strong working relationships and maintaining confidentiality.

Oversee and respond to online HR enquiries within 24 hours, ensuring queries are escalated appropriately if necessary.

Assist in the recruitment process, including checking accuracy and publishing job adverts and profiles, and providing support during the interview process, including panel participation.

Maintain, update, and accurately record all ER casework, ensuring records are thorough and track case progress with HR colleagues and line managers for timely interventions and resolutions.

Actively participate in HR initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices that support the organisation's people strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in HR, particularly in handling complex employee relations cases.

Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
