What's involved?Working closely with The Home Farm farmer on the 12,000 acres estate who rear sustainable award winning organic meats fed on beautiful South Downs chalky grassland.

  • As Master Butcher, you'll be able to inspire, motivate and coach the team, taking them through this unique approach and be confident in managing the butchery team of 4 to a high standard.
  • You'll be managing the butchery operation, overseeing all aspects of meat preparation, aging and maximising the margins per animal. You'll be working as part of a strong passionate team delivering differing cuts, along with all aspects of meat preparation in order to exceed our customer's expectations, whilst developing and improving existing lines
  • The Butchery team work with beef, lamb and pork all of which are organically reared by

the Farmers on the beautiful Estate.

  • Based next to the Farm shop your working hours will be 6am to 3pm over 5 days
  • Proven relevant butchery management experience including carcass breakdown
  • An in-depth knowledge of HACCP and legislative requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of animal physiology and cuts of meat
  • A passion for sustainable food with an understanding of organic farm-based food production
  • Experience in leading, inspiring and developing a team
