Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine histopathology laboratory tasks with a focus on microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores).
- Carry out routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra.
- Ensure quality control and maintain high standards in specimen processing.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Histology or Cellular Pathology.
- Experience in histopathology laboratory procedures, particularly in microtomy and staining.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols meticulously.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Leica Spectra staining systems.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a busy laboratory environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
