Job Description: Care Worker

Location: London Borough of Hillingdon and surrounding areas

Are you someone who is passionate about delivering high quality care to vulnerable adults. Maybe you are working in a care role, but not getting enough hours in your current role or looking to move on to better your career?

We have Immediate openings for experienced Domiciliary/Home Care Workers. Our client are a fast growing care services specialist, providing essential care to the elderly and vulnerable adults across the London Borough of Hillingdon. You will be working across areas like Northwood, Pinner, Harrow, Hillingdon, Uxbridge and Hayes/West Drayton.

This role, which offers flexible working patterns, covering a range of full-time, part-time or spot hours around your availability. For full-time roles, you are paid for the entirity of your shift (8 hours) and not just on contact time.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for care workers who are truly passionate about delivering high quality care to vulnerable adults within the community. It is necessary for you to have a background in care, we are also looking for individuals with empathy, compassion, creativity and commitment and those who genuinely want to make a positive difference to other people’s lives. You are required to provide personal care and light domestic duties to vulnerable adults/elderly.

Key responsibilities will include; but not be limited to:

  • To providing service users with the appropriate level of care, learning guidance and directions in daily living activities in accordance with their care plan.
  • To provide support to service users with daily living tasks as they develop their own independence.
  • To maintain the service users dignity, choice and control at all times and escalate immediately any concerns e.g. safeguarding, neglect
  • Support service users to take their medication
  • Accurately keeping daily records
  • Assisting with personal care to both male and female service users
  • Support Servuce users with nutrional advice, physical and emotional support, medication and domestic support.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Written standard of written English
  • Commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility, professionalism
  • To have knowledge of personal care requirements of users, and the ability to provide efficient effective personal and physical care to service users.
  • Experience in care required
  • Good problem-solving skills and a solution focused approach
  • Positive and friendly nature, with a 'can-do’ attitude
  • Must be willing to deliver personal care to both male & female Service users
  • Being able to effectively manage GPS and navigation system in order to provide community care

Skills / Experience Required:

Be able to work shifts in a flexible way to meet the needs of the service users

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in care

Be passionate about supporting people with a variety of complex needs.

Driving licence with vehicle (Essential)
