Trusts, Estates, and Personal Tax Manager

We're seeking a talented Tax Candidate to join our clients team and contribute to their exceptional client service. This senior role offers a rewarding opportunity to work on a wide range of tax matters, from personal and trust returns to complex estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file trust, estate, and personal tax returns using IRIS software.
  • Manage client correspondence with HM Revenue & Customs and third parties.
  • Track and meet critical deadlines for trust and estate filings.
  • Prepare trust accounts and monitor deadlines for charges and entitlements.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for clients.
  • Handle inheritance tax returns for trusts and estates.
  • Offer ad hoc tax advice, such as trust distribution planning.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Undertake other tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A professional qualification like STEP, ATT, or CTA (part-qualified)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a private client or trust department
  • Strong accuracy, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and ambitious approach
  • Proficiency in IT, with experience in case management and tax software (IRIS preferred)
